So, I am at work, watching Adam-12 on Hulu.com. (I am working at the same time, but these 25-minute compile times are soul-destroying.)

And they just did a "1-Adam-12, 1-Adam-47 reports suspect on foot headed towards Eastbourne, male Caucasian, 6 feet, 155 pounds."

And I realized, I would be the WORST EVER WITNESS.

Seriously, I could not give you height and weight on my CUBICLEMATES.

I am sitting here refraining from looking behind me and trying to come up with a description for the guy who sits directly behind me. A guy with whom I have worked for 3.5 years. I have sat in the same cubicle as him for around 3 years.

I can describe his hair, his features, his ethnicity, his style of clothing and the jewelry he wears as a matter of course.

But height and weight? I am like, "Weeeeeeell... I think he's maybe taller than me? Certainly not shorter. Or, well, not much. Maybe, um... well, he's definitely between 5'7" and 6'3". And, er. Stockyish? I guess?"

I could probably get within 50 pounds of his weight, if I had to guess!

But seriously. I have almost certainly spent more waking hours in line-of-sight for this coworker than I have with my DAUGHTER.

I possibly suck a little.

A lot of the time when they are developing witness testimony or taking the calls or whatever they'll ask you questions to develop a ballpark figure of height and weight. You may not be able to say 'So and so is this and such tall!' but it's a little easier to answer 'Taller than six foot? Shorter than 5'5"?"

See, that is the thing, though! I could barely come up with a half-foot range. I am bad at sizes, I think.
