Last year was bitterly cold, too, wasn't it?
I am sitting in my room, sick and bundled up, mulling on how much I would like to take a vacation to somewhere where I could leave the windows open and walk outside without cold knifing my abused lungs, and it just occurred to me that I remember last year how tempted I was to move somewhere south, just to get away from the punishing winters.
Now that I think about it, last year was snow, not temperature. It was the Monday morning shoveling every Monday for around 2 months. The snow has been bad this year, but it's really the bitter cold that is making this year hard.
Yesterday, my husband and I both spent some time outside without jackets on, marveling at the warmth, and then realized it was 41 degrees. 41 degrees should not feel like jacket-free weather. We had windows open for an hour or two!
Sigh.
