Okay, I need to get this off my chest for a minute here. All these posts about RPing and lack of availability and lack of activity that people make, where they say things like, "Yeah, RL can be a bitch, especially when you're a college student," make me want to smack them.

Seriously, I know that college can be hard work and whatever, but I look at friends who are dealing with things like med school and law school. I think about myself and my other friends with small children and full-time jobs. I look at high school students who have to share dial-up time with parents who want the phone lines free.

Honestly, my college years were some of the LEAST full of my life, and I understand that isn't true for everyone and that college is sometimes very busy, but good lord, people, stop holding up "I'm in college!" like it's some kind of badge of "life is so hard!"

I'm really thinking I may just end up dropping Pietee and Nali. I mean, I'm not trying to play the 'life is so hard!!' card just because I've got classes, but I'm really not coming up with the free time I need to keep up on Firan.

You've got a lot more than just college, too, though. :P And we love you! But if it feels right for you, you're obviously the best person to make that call. I know I've often fled Firan because of OMG stress.

But yeah, it's more that Firan's always been low on my priority-tree, and it's dropping steadily lower, in a way that's really not fair to Marsalos and the Honoriae, etc. who kinda need an active Pietee right now!

I'll give it 'til after midterms, I think. If I'm not back by then, it are time to go.

You know, it's rather odd. When I was in college and working at the NSA (Naval Support Activity. Yay, military acronyms,) with an hour commute to one and and hour from the other, I had more time than I do now with a steadier schedule. Now, I took higher maths, but I still can't figure that one out. Granted, I was less than active around major paper/project/test times, and especially last winter after my husband's wee Geo Metro tangoing with a Lincoln Navigator, but... I dunno.

I used to get annoyed with those kids, too. But, I satisfy myself with knowing that, one day, they will learn the meaning of "The Real World." I don't have time to get that vexed with them when I've two teenagers of my own to get vexed with.

There's many a time nowadays when I wish I were back in college. The free time! The bills I didn't have to pay! The extra sleep!

The real world is a pain. They'll find out sooner or later, I guess.
