*beats head against wall*

So, last night, Wesley threw up all over his bed and on the rug.

And he didn't come get us. He whined upstairs for a while, but he whines upstairs EVERY night, so we had no way to tell it was something real. So, this morning, there was a substantial mess.

When we asked Wesley if his stomach was bothering him, he gave his standard response of "Yes I need Tylenol!" This tells us nothing. I tried to express to him (again) that if he makes a mess in his bed, he should come and tell us right away. Then I tried to explain to him that if he always says he needs Tylenol whenever we ask how he's feeling, we can never give him Tylenol because we can't trust his answers. It is really frustrating.

He just doesn't have... I don't even know how to put it. An understanding of proportion? Everything has to be absolutes with him. He's not allowed to come downstairs at night just to play, so he can't grasp that there's anything that makes it okay to come downstairs.

So, Peter took Lorrie out to the grocery store this morning to get her out of the way, and we dropped Wesley in the bathtub. We're on the second of three loads of laundry: sheets and blankets was first, now it's the mattress pad, and then the comforter will be third. I may wash his pillow, too, to clear out the smell a bit more.
