Nov. 17th, 2008 09:05 pmI like to consider myself a fairly rational person.
Because of this, I am unnerved by the way my thinking has run over the last eight or nine hours, while I consider whether to purchase an audiobook with one of my Audible.com credits.
I stumbled across it while poking around their 50% off sale pages. It is called A Few Seconds of Panic: A 170-Pound, 43-Year-Old Sportswriter Plays in the NFL. I like football. I like sports books. I like the sample, the writing style, the idea.
It looks, in short, like a fabulous book, and fun for me and my husband. Something we can listen to over dinner, in the car, wherever.
But I have not bought it.
Why not?
Because the team with which he did this experiment is DENVER.
And I do not want to bond through text with the EVIL BRONCOS.
Sigh. Football, what have you done to me?
