So, I have a date. I went with the method of requesting a doctor from the practice (the one with whom I'm most comfortable, and who delivered Lorrie), and seeing what dates he had available. The only time slot he was on-duty and the hospital had scheduled L&D rooms open was Monday, November 9, at 8 AM.

Which is also my MIL's birthday. But hey. I didn't pick it! Quite.

So, I can nail it down to 47 days to go. At most. I would be totally unsurprised if I went a bit earlier than that, given my history, but I don't give it more than a 25% chance: that's a full 7 days before my due-date-by-last-period, and 8 days before my due-date-by-ultrasound-calculations.

It's very strange to think about this. Modern science makes some weird situations.

I'm right there with you! My scheduled date is exactly 5 weeks from today, on October 28th at 7am. It's weird to have your baby's birthday just picked out like that, but it's nice to have the time to plan when you have older kids. ;)

According to my husband, she's fine with it, says it will at least be easy to remember! Which... that is certainly true. I still feel like I'm being kind of... twee, I suppose. But this was the only slot for the doctor I really wanted, so it is still kind of coincidence, just... coincidence of a different kind.

Okay, that went to the wrong comment. Weird.
